Amrit Chintan: The Fusion of Material and Spiritual Education is the Dire Need of the Hour

The prime reason for the people deviating from the noble to the ignoble path is today's money-centered mindset. We want to buy everything by money. We want to earn money by the force of money, we want to follow religion by the force of money, we want health by the force of money, we want happiness, peace and respect with the help of money — as if money were such a magic wand by which we can fulfill all our desires. But we never give a thought to the fact: Do those people, who are possessing enormous wealth, have everything? Have all their desires been fulfilled? Are they fully satisfied and happy with their lives? The answer is stark No!

We will have to develop a holistic mindset so that each one of us finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life by connecting to other people, to the community, to the world, and to the universal spiritual values. The present system provides only material education focused on a money-centered mindset, whereas the fusion of material and spiritual education can give the real development along with soul-satisfaction. The knowledge we earn should be the medium for intellectual development along with soul-growth.
