Ashwin Navratri Sadhana

Dear Parijans,

Navratra is a festival of shakti-sadhana. This sadhana may be accomplished by performing Anushthan of 24,000 Gayatri mantra japa or 2400 mantra lekhan (writing mantras) or reciting Gayatri Chalisa 240 times. Unique divine currents flowing during the transition period of Navratra can be attracted by the sadhak through specific austerities (tapa), mantra japa and other methods.

The austerities may include, depending on one's strength and capacity, taking Satwik food (without spices, salt, sugar, etc.); observing fast, maun vrat (silence) and brahmacharya (celibacy), etc. When this power of tapa enters the sadhak, it refines his personality accordingly.

This year Ashwin Navratra is commencing on September 25, 2014. We believe that you have already resolved to take advantage of this opportunity by undertaking sadhana anushthan during this auspicious period.

Purnahuti of Anushthan can be done either through Havan or Deep Yagya. Depending on one's convenience one may feed kanyas (girls who have not attained puberty), cows, or distribute Gurudev's literature.

The energy thus earned can be retained by self-control and utilized in the desired direction. If our thoughts are noble, we will use this energy in the right direction and in due course will harvest its benefits.

We pray that your anushthan is completed successfully so that Mother Gayatri showers Her blessings and boons on you.

With Prayer-filled Wishes and Warm Greetings for 'Ashwin Navratra and Vijaya Dashami Parva'
